Custom printed mugs for businesses, artists and clubs
Put a company logo, an original illustration or a favourite photograph on a white 11oz mug. Full colour sublimation suits artwork with several colours, soft shading and photographic detail, making these mugs a useful choice for staff gifts, customer giveaways and merchandise to sell. The white base keeps the focus on the print, whether you choose a small mark on each side or a wider design around the body.
Start with 12 mugs for a small team or a first product launch, or choose a larger quantity for an event, shop or organisation. Every mug includes a plain white gift box. The examples in the gallery show customer artwork and different views of the same design, so you can judge the layout before planning your own.
Full colour sublimation or screen printed mugs?
Sublimation uses heat to transfer the artwork into a suitable coating on the mug. Choose it for photographs, colourful logos, detailed illustrations and designs with gradients. Unlike a design built from a single ink colour, your artwork can contain several colours within the same image. A white background in the file blends with the white mug, which can work well for a logo with plenty of space around it.
If you want a dark mug with bold single colour artwork, compare our black screen printed mugs instead. Think about the finished product as well as the logo: a photo gift, a bright café illustration and a band wordmark can each suit a different approach. Send us the artwork if you would like help choosing.
Planning the print around the handle
The standard artwork area measures 210mm by 85mm. You can use this space for a wider composition or arrange separate elements so a design is visible from either side. Tell us how you would like the artwork to sit in relation to the handle. A wide print does not mean that the handle, rim or inside of the mug is printed.
Keep names, important lettering and faces clear of the edges. View your design at its intended print size rather than relying on a large screen preview: fine lines and small text can become difficult to read when reduced. We check the supplied artwork and send a layout proof for approval before printing. If your design depends on an exact position, include a reference with the original file.
Preparing logos, photographs and illustrations
Upload the original AI, EPS, SVG or PDF for vector artwork where possible. For photographs and illustrations, send the best quality PNG or JPG you have. A screenshot or a small image saved from social media may look soft when printed, even if it looks clear on a phone. Send the original artwork alongside any mockup so we have a usable print file.
Colours on a backlit screen can differ from the finished print. If a particular brand colour is critical, mention it before ordering so we can discuss expectations. Do not build essential information into very faint details or rely on a photograph of a mockup as the production artwork.
Ordering quantities and gift boxes
The quantity options are 12, 36, 72, 108, 144 and 504 mugs, with lower unit prices at the larger quantities. The ordering panel shows prices including VAT, and the summary also gives the amount excluding VAT for business buyers. Select your quantity and upload the design to see your order total before adding it to the basket.
Each mug has its own plain white gift box, useful for handing out staff gifts or packing a retail order. The box is plain rather than custom printed. For a deadline, several designs or a requirement that is not covered by the online options, contact us with the quantity, artwork and date you need the order. We can confirm the details before you commit.

Planning the design from more than one viewing angle
A mug is turned and picked up throughout use, so decide how the artwork should read from different sides. A single logo can be placed as a focused mark, while an illustration may work as a wider composition. If the design includes both a name and a character, consider which element should face outward from each viewing angle before arranging the print file.
Use the front-and-back examples to compare approaches, rather than treating two photographed views as a two-mug retail pack. Your chosen order quantity determines the number of mugs. Keep important text away from areas where the layout ends near the handle, and include a clear placement reference if a particular orientation matters. The proof is the point to agree how the design sits within the confirmed print area.
Making photographs and illustrations useful at print size
Choose the original image with clear focus and enough detail for the intended layout. Enlarging a small downloaded picture does not restore detail that was never in the file. Check faces, small lettering and the edges of an illustration at the size they will occupy on the mug, not just in a full-screen preview.
If the artwork includes a light background, consider how that area relates to the white ceramic. A deliberate edge or border can be part of the composition, while an unintended rectangular background may distract from a logo. Upload the original file as well as any mockup, and identify the version you want printed. This gives a clearer brief than a photograph of another mug with the request to reproduce its layout.
Preparing mugs for a team or merchandise launch
Work out the intended allocation before selecting the quantity: staff gifts, a customer event and a shop launch may call for different stock levels. Each mug is supplied with a plain white gift box. If your presentation requires printed packaging or another feature beyond the listed product, do not assume it is included because it appears in a styled photograph.
Check the order summary, artwork version and any positioning notes together before adding the mugs to your basket. At proof approval, read names and dates as carefully as you inspect the illustration. Keep the approved design for reorders so that a future brief can refer to the right layout, rather than rebuilding it from a photograph of the first batch.
