PVC, metal or embroidered keyrings: which suits your brand?

THE BRIEF
Good decisions.
Better merchandise.

The same logo can become three very different accessories. Before choosing a custom keyring, decide what you want the material, shape and detail to communicate.

Start with the use, not just the artwork

Is this a retail accessory, an event giveaway, a club keepsake or a customer gift? That answer helps you decide what matters most. Consider the feel in the hand, the dimensions, how the keyring attaches and the complete order cost. A photograph can show a design direction, but the confirmed specification should establish what you are buying.

Soft PVC for bold shapes and colour

Soft PVC keyrings offer a flexible format for custom shapes and expressive artwork. Strong silhouettes and clear colour areas can work particularly well. Rather than forcing a detailed poster into a small accessory, identify the part of the design that people need to recognise first.

Review small text and narrow details at the intended size. If you are considering a sculpted look, our 3D domed PVC keyrings are a separate option to compare; do not assume every construction is included in a standard PVC specification.

Metal when the finish is part of the character

With custom metal keyrings, the metal finish can become part of the design. Compare the shape, surface finish and colour details together. A mark that works as a bold printed graphic may need a different treatment when translated into a small metal piece.

Check the available finishes on the product page and confirm the fitting and dimensions. Use a reference image to explain a desired appearance, then let the final specification establish the actual finish and any optional extras.

Embroidery for a fabric and thread finish

Embroidered keyrings bring a tactile stitched surface. Clear lettering and sensible spacing matter because the design is being reproduced in thread. A short phrase, a brand name or a strong symbol may communicate more clearly than several lines of contact information.

Printed flight tags are another product, not an interchangeable name for embroidery. If you are comparing them, look at our premium flight tags and review how each format handles your artwork.

What to include in your enquiry

Send the original artwork, approximate dimensions, quantity, intended use and required date. Add your preferred material and any fitting or finish requirements. Ask for the complete cost, including any relevant setup, VAT, delivery and extras, so you can compare like for like.

You do not need to solve every production detail yourself. A clear account of the effect you want gives the artwork review a useful starting point.
